WHY I’M DOING THIS & HOW IT WORKS

SintaGrowing up with divorce and a blended family, presented many obstacles. Then I got married and stepped into my own instant blended family with my husband, his child, his ex-wife and both their families. It was challenging and rather problematic at times. As the years went by, we had two more children and eventually ended up separating as well.

What I had regarded as problematic up to that point, escalated to traumatic, affecting not only my spouse and I, but devastating our children and everybody around us. Nevertheless, matters have been resolved to the extent that we were recently able to sit around the same table, for the first time in years, enjoy a meal together and even drink a toast to our achievement.

The question that haunted me all the while, is: How many times I could rather have invited people to my table, for a civilised conversation (maybe even a glass of wine) instead of acting the way I did under the trying circumstances…?

So from the broken marriages, another child was born, which is fairdivorce.co.za. My vision is to create a platform where every issue relating to divorce – legal, financial, physical and practical aspects, to psychological, social and spiritual perspectives – can be addressed. The objective is to:

  • inspire people to think, reflect and reconsider
  • bring them to new insights
  • put alternative options on the table and
  • offer solutions

The range of information is for all who are affected by divorce: parents, children, friends, extended family, colleagues and even new partners.
